AWS Snowball Edge was introduced at re:Invent 2016, a durable, secure data transport solution that accelerates the migration of terabytes to petabytes of data into and out of AWS. To demonstrate the physical rugged nature of the device, the Snowball Edge was subjected to a test that follows the MIL-S-901D standard.

I'm amazed how they took something that could be interesting and fun (People love good explosions) and made it boring and way too long and drawn out. Plus, in the real world a server would be running when say an earthquake happened. Why didn't they show that? (Brought to you by fracking, earthquakes aren't just for CA any more)

what a useless waste of explosives. In what world will the server be exposed to underwater explosives with the server safely some feet away from the explosion. Unrealistic and bogus. Shame on you Amazon for hyped up, deceptive marketing BS.

Sounds kinda pointless to put the explosive in the water to absorb most of the shock and to put the Snowball Edge above the water. just saying

That explosion under water would match any road, air or water issues. If you expect Amazon to put your shit up against a tank then you're kind of asking for the moon.

Almost like a truck, boat or plane absorbs most of the shock…. lol.
