Native Express ads fit right in with list-based user interfaces, and in this episode you’ll learn how to integrate them into an iOS app that uses a UITableViewController for its primary UI. Along the way you’ll get a detailed set of steps, see screencasts of implementation in Xcode, plus get a handy technique for tapping into the ad lifecycle to load one after another instead of all at once.

What do you have to say about the huge RPM drop this week? Plus a huge match rate drop… Anything? Revenue went down 60%! This means going out of bussiness for lots of small developers. No help from the support team, no information what actually happened.

Is there any way to customise "GADNativeExpressAdView" as "GADNativeAppInstallAdView"?And I want to use "GADNativeAppInstallAdView" OR "GADNativeContentAdView" as "UITableView Cell". So have you any demo for GADNativeAppInstallAdView?I stuck at ad Loader for GADNativeAppInstallAdView and implement in UITableView.(iOS)

AdMob has two different ways to implement native ads: Native Express and Native Advanced (see this guide for details: firebase.google.com/docs/admob/ios/native).GADNativeExpressAdView is just for Native Express ads, while GADNativeAppInstallAdView is just for Native Advanced ads. The two ad formats are completely different under the hood, so there's no way to mix and match the two.

Vim is available at vim.org, though if you're using a Unixy OS, it's probably already installed (just run 'vim' at a command prompt)!

For iOS, just regular ol' Xcode. For text files I record myself using vim so I can look smart. In real life I use Sublime, though. 🙂

Using Swift 2 and having some trouble with the code. Is this only for Swift 3? Also – my table view was set up very differently (and simpler) than your's and I have content coming from a server. This video doesn't really help me; but I definitely want to use Admob's Native Ads. Any way you can help?

I'm using Swift 3, which is what all our Github samples also target (unless one has slipped by me). I tend to make these coding exercises as light as possible so that the videos don't end up being thirty minutes long, which is why I'm using hardcoded data instead of something from a server endpoint. You're welcome to bring your code and questions to our support forum, though. We've got a team of support engineers that can provide advice for your specific use case: groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/google-admob-ads-sdk.

The suggestions people have already posted are good ones. The nice thing about coding these days is that so many resources are freely available online. Google, for instance, partnered with Udacity to make a bunch of Android courses that you can take free of charge, like this one: www.udacity.com/course/android-development-for-beginners–ud837.

Pick something of interest and then ask yourself what can I do, change or build to make this better? – it could be simple like changing the color of a button or the functionality of a component. then break that in pieces and start from there. you change the color of that button you achieved a little goal you get momentum and you start getting some direction. Because the tools are out there for free, all we need sometimes is a direction. check others people code in Github, check codecamp and many of the other sites that teach by doing.… Read more »
