Manel Alcaide has always been in love with circus arts, even more so since his brother gifted him a course to learn aerial silks and trapeze. These skills help him relax from his busy life in the small Spanish town of Benissano, where he runs Visualfy, an app that helps deaf people by turning sounds into visual and sensory cues.

Yeah, I make apps, but I won't tell you a single word about the apps I make.

I can't figure out if this is or can be a stand alone app or if it only works in conjunction with an external device.

i know what you mean and it's more useful idea than the advertised , and phone calls are translated to texts , and text translated to sound to the other end .

Well, I was hoping for audio recognition from the phone's microphone to differentiate a babies Waah from a smoke alarm from a doorbell (or knock) etc.

i think so , because how else are you going to program the doorbell or the fire alarm to notify your smart phone , unless their are some features that doesn't require them.
