The real deep philosophical question here is. Are you going to buy an Xbox One X ?

This is great! That comment was one I really resonated with during your first hiatus update, and the way that you broke it down in such a self-aware and respectful way really made me smile. Your channel has really inspired me to start my own channel (I'm publishing the first video this week!). There is one video in particular (the vlog episode of your first day at Google, which for the life of me I can't find anymore) that really showed me the kind of work ethic you've employed to get to where you're at now. Over 200k (!) followers… Read more »

Travis! Been watching your vids for a while and you've helped me take my design skills to another level. Thankyou! Just a quick question.. Loved your site and the artistic articles you made. I really genuinely thought it was an amazing site. Went on there just a moment ago and saw that you've taken it down and dare I say, replaced it for something quite poorly designed? Is it a temp page? Is there something youre working on?

Mr. DivTips. I have a question. What editor or compiler does you used when combining HTML and SASS to make a website?

If you are comfortable with the command line, i can give you my Gulp file that's slick and updated that will handle the sass compilation for you. You just need to run three commands in the terminal to get i t running. It's very simple once you get it working.

Hi Miyuki, i'm fairly certain that Travis would use either Gulp or Grunt as his task runner. I doubt he uses Webpack. Fairly sure he uses Gulp though. If he does use Gulp, i'm sure he would use the Node-Sass plugin as his SASS Compiler. Pretty much every front-end developer will either use Gulp or Grunt. Gulp is newer and more powerful but is a little harder to configure than Grunt. Grunt's slowly becoming dated at this point I feel and even Gulp is to a degree with the rise of Webpack. Webpack is on a different level however and… Read more »

Really appreciate your transparency and willingness to analyze your circumstances on this level. I tend toward addictive behaviors too, and often realize I throw myself into work too much to avoid other, more necessary things. I do think some compulsive activities (disciplined ones, if that's possible) are more healthy and fruitful than others, so I try to throw myself into learning and working more than gaming, etc. As a Christian I really resonate with the idea that behind all unhealthy addictions/compulsions is the hole that the addiction is trying to compensate for. Tim Keller speaks a lot of good stuff… Read more »
