This is styled components. Essentially it's a way of embedding css in javascript. It enforces the concept of stateless functional components and container components by only allowing you to create styles without logic in a component. It's a really useful tool, and I've been using it a lot recently and really like it. The creator has a talk on styled components on their website, so give it a try!
