Hi Scott, not sure if this is a new thing but you can actually search just for themes in the extension explorer just like Atom, albeit not as user-friendly.Just type: "category:themes" (without quotation marks) into the search box. There is also a "Install additional themes" link at the bottom of the list when on the colour theme switcher.

Any way to tweak colors on your own — especially for syntax hi-lighting?

I personally like the monokai dark themes but the Dracula one looks pretty good as well

You can list marketplace themes from where you change your theme. In the list from where you change theme there is an option to look for more themes in marketplace. Same for icon themes

I use Dracula too. Nord is another great theme with full workbench themed. Asked to Hopscotch maintainer, said he wouldn't bring full workbench theming 😢 because he doesn't use it personally

Hi, Scott! I stick to one of the numerous versions of Oceanic Next and manually have applied Status Bar color in settings as fast as they released this full customization feature (here is the link to documentation, maybe someone will find it useful code.visualstudio.com/docs/getstarted/theme-color-reference#_status-bar-colors). That blue bar at the bottom annoyed me
