I can understand that an anonymous IP address might be suspicious. However more and more people are using VPNs and TOR to protect themselves against snooping governments and corporations(or even their own ISP) "Why would someone hide their IP address?" Now this kind of thinking is creepy. It's sounds like the "nothing to hide" argument.
