$ open -t .bash_profile
Try adding the following line to your .bash_profile file.

mysql$ ALTER USER ‘root’@’localhost’ IDENTIFIED BY ‘MyNewPass’;

hi, when I open the workbench and press Local instance 3306, nothing happens, no password asking. Please advice, thanks
