Better than "No Degree"? That doesn't apply to my shitty country though*. Employers here discriminate applicants with no bachelor's degree.

Well, here too. However I find it's the lower paying, employers that expect the most out the employee. These guys hardly ask much in an interview and just kind of expect your degree to do the talking. It's weird but higher paying jobs where the employer takes a closer look at you during the interview process, sometimes don't mind if you don't have the degree. Sounds like it should be the other way around, right? But yea not having the degree will always be a slight burden, however there are other ways to prove you are more than capable.

Great video, very helpful. One question though…if im still at step one "deciding what type of programming I want to do" Are there any basic questions or resources I can research in order to answer this question for myself? I know that I want to work as a programmer but I'm unsure exactly what type of programming I want to specialize in still…

Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate. It was so refreshing to hear. I'm interested in full stack development so I've been looking for videos to learn it.

I have been recruiting many people and I think being honest about what you know and what you don't is a very important thing. I don't mind compromising some skills over having an honest person at my team. Also it's more important to show how fast you can learn more than having 2 million skills that you only know the buzz words!

I think if people want to succeed as developers they need to embrace learning in general, it is so important 🙂

Yes, certainly. "Learning" is definitely a life skill, and it's important life kill to have. I think too many people think of it as just an action/verb that you only do once, while in university or school and then never do it again.
