If you get webpack error then try 'npm install -g webpack' and for node-sass module try 'npm install node-sass@latest'

Removed require('../../scss/style.scss'); from App.js, all working fine, not worth the time trying to work out the scss, there is no style required here, just functionality.

If you have problems with node-sass you have two options, firstone update in package.json the node-sass and style-loader packages to the last version, the secondone but i don't recommend is install an old version such v5 of nodejs.

To those having trouble with getting node-sass working, reverting to node v7.0 worked for me. You can use nvm to switch between versions of node on the fly. See this link (Mac users): dev.topheman.com/install-nvm-with-homebrew-to-use-multiple-versions-of-node-and-iojs-easily/

If you have a node-sass error. Try desintalling npm and use nvm (which manages all differents versions of npm) and set nvm with version 7.0.0 of node. Then rebuild with npm install . It worked for me. Good luck !

Uninstalling node should take npm along with it. Assuming you use the graphical uninstall on windows.

what do you mean by deinstalling npm? You mean deleting node.js using Programs and Features in Control Panel? or Should I uninstall using command line?
