crockpot can go and sit in the corner1. classes are entirely optional 2. simulating classes in old js is a pain3. js needs classes because it seems people like big fat memory hogs clogging their browsers and applications need ways to scale up.

the class keyword is basically a syntactical sugar for the old prototypical based class system onlyit was introduced so that programmers from different background can relate more easilyPS: Doug Crockford hates it 🙂
