Thanks for the video series, I'm going to implement the SO methods for a bunch of aspects of my ARPG game. I would really love to see a series on editor scripting to work with the SO system, especially keen to see the node system you mentioned in this video.

Why the enemy stats is an asset? If assets are persistable wouldn't be better to hold enemies/players/etc data in a regular class attached to the object?

Among other things it allows some designers of the team to make profile templates for enemies and it allows to use an reuse those profiles on the go.Then when a change is made in the asset, it is automatically made for all the objects/prefabs that use it without going through them all.

I got like 40% of the entire system. I think this AI is smarter than me lol.I started learning unity/c# 2 to 3 weeks ago so I don't know If I'm that stupid or just newbie. Could be both haha Also not being an english native speaker always make things harder. I'll try to implement it in a project and see If I can add or edit new things.

Got It. ^^ But now that I've managed to make it work when I add just 10 enemies in my game the fps drops to 20 when they start chasing the player. The only difference between tutorial and my Project is that I'm using overlapSphere and CheckSphere to check if the enemy saw the player or not since I don't really want this kind of awareness precision, I just need to check If he's close enough. My guess is that these checkings is the problem since it runs every frame. So which problem would be? Is It the checkings or NavMeshAgent… Read more »

This is probably an intermediate level tutorial so I wouldn't be surprised if you don't understand everything here two weeks into learning Unity. No harm in watching it though, as long as you know that. – Matt
