In software all of this is already doable and not to hard too, but hardware and it´s availability, cost and broadband internet are the show stoppers for now. But like in the 80s when cellphones were as big as laptops technology might get small and affordable enough in the next 5-10 years
This is just academic talking. The real blocker of MR mass adpotion is HW. An affordable lightweight headset/glasses with wide field of view and multiple focal planes is at least ten years away imo. Magic Leap please prove me wrong.
